Colin Campbell has urged professionals to tone it down and follow the rules, according to the Canwest News Service.
Chief orator for the Chicago Blackhawks Adam Burish said it might be because other teams do not like the fact they are being talked to on the ice.
He explained what kinds of jibes are thrown about during a game: "It's the same stuff that people say to me ... 'You suck. You're terrible. I'm going to kill you. I'm going to hurt you. I'm going to beat you up'."

Craig Conroy added that none of it is offensive - it's all good clean fun.
