The male form might not be a thing of beauty to everyone, but photographer Mark Siddall is looking to make men into works of art in his new exhibition.
Opening on June 11th at the Mark Siddall Gallery in Toronto, the exhibition - simply titled Men - examines male flesh in all its forms.
These, the artists explains, include "hard and tender" bodies of both black and white ethnicities.
Whether close-up or filmed from a distance, the exhibition promises to satiate and titillate those who attend.
However, it is due to appear for a limited time only, with the closing date set for July 4th.
Keen photography fans can get a sneak preview of the images on the eve of the official opening, as a reception is planned from 18:00 local time on June 10th.
Siddall explains that his goal is the production of art - including photographic prints and oil paintings - that may be purchased by private collectors.
As such, entry to the exhibition itself is free to members of the public.
Following Men, Siddall has a number of other exhibitions planned for later in 2009, including the opening of Landscapes on July 16th with a reception on the previous evening.
