Everyone knows men are just big boys at heart. They love surprises, fun and games. Why else would sports be such a huge pastime?
So what fun will 2010 bring that men can’t wait for? Let’s take a look.
Birthday: As obvious as this might seem, a man can’t wait for his birthday. It gives him permission to be 10 years old, and have a special day just for him to be anything he pleases. Men know they can get away with things on their birthday that normally might be curtailed the rest of the year. Drinking beer for breakfast? An entire day of bowling? Horseshoes and Jack Daniels with his best buds? Anything goes on a man’s birthday.
National High Five Day: Falling on the third Thursday of April, this special day allows men to congratulate each other for absolutely nothing more than passing each other on the street or in the office. No touchdowns needed, no promotions have to be given. Just high five ‘em all day long.
Steak and Blow Job Day: Men’s answer to Valentine’s Day, Steak and Blow Job Day comes every year on March 14. No flowers or cards needed, this day explains itself.
Talk Like A Pirate Day: September 19 allows men to unleash their inner pirate. Letting loose with “arrrrs” and use of the word “yardarm” makes any activity more fun.
National Pig Day: Face it, if men could, they would all live like pigs. No offense intended, but just check out a guy’s dorm. This holiday, falling on March 1, celebrates the actual pig, but what better way to relate to the animal kingdom?
Be Nasty Day: What man doesn’t like to have permission to get all his aggression out, all day long? This special holiday falls on March 8 and definitely allows guys to be as naughty as they wish.
Come and Take It Day: October 8 brings this holiday, wherein men can steal openly reach out and grab it, whatever it is!
Bald and Free Day: Though not every man will be waiting for this day, which falls on October 7, there are enough around that will appreciate being celebrated for the hairless wonders that they are. Everyone else can remind themselves, “There but for the grace of God go I…”
Best Friends Day: June 8 brings the chance for men to get mushy with each other, and celebrate that special bond they have with these closest pals. This is a great day for men who are not usually demonstrative.
No Socks Day: Decidedly some men celebrate this holiday every day, but for the rest of those too concerned with conventions, this special day that falls on May 8 will give men everywhere a chance to take them off and enjoy the freedom of giving those toes a breather. Helps cut down on laundry, too!
