Stars to Hold Haiti Benefit Show

A star-studded concert, dubbed ‘Hope for Haiti’ is to be staged in the US and televised in the UK in order to raise funds and awareness for the plight of the victims of the recent earthquake on the island.

Actor George Clooney, star of movies such as Burn After Reading and Oceans 13, is to co-host the event with Fugees singer Wyclef Jean who was born in Haiti.

Sexy Back singer Justin Timberlake is set to perform at the event and is likely to be joined on stage by the likes of U2 front man Bono, pop princess Christina Aguilera and soul singer Alicia Keys.

The show will be broadcast live on a number of channels in North America on January 22nd and will be screened by music channel MTV in the UK at 01:00 on January 23rd.

All the performers who take part will urge viewers to donate funds to a range of charities, including Oxfam America, Red Cross, Unicef, Partners in Health and the Yele Haiti Foundation, who will bring relief to the victims.

Celebs are rushing to the aid of Haiti and its no surprise that ‘Hope for Haiti’ will be likely the biggest success.
