Ford Scoops Top Gear Magazine Prizes
BBC Top Gear magazine has named the Ford Focus RS as its Muscle Car of the Year, one of two awards secured by the manufacturer.
Winning the Green Car of the Year accolade was the Ford fiesta ECOnetic, which was praised for its "spritely" road dynamics in addition to its "fabulous" fuel economy.
Top Gear magazine editor Conor McNicholas said the RS model is "nothing short of a hero".
"Amazing engineering in a car with huge road-presence, the RS is both massive fun and a connoisseur's choice," he commented.
Mr McNicholas went on to say that he is "hugely impressed" with the ECOnetic, stating his wish for call green cars to be made "like this".
The Ford Fiests is currently Britain's top-selling car, with nearly 110,000 being bought every year.
Elsewhere in the Top Gear magazine awards, Skoda secured the Family Car of the Year award for the Yeti, while its Superb won the Luxury Car of the Year title.
