British Men in Store for Sexy Christmas Corsets Surprises
British men are in store for a host of sexy treats this Christmas after a huge increase in UK sales of corsets and lingerie. Even more reason to want to be a British man: a recent study found that British men were found to last longer in bed.
Sales of the sexy garments have rocketed by 70 per cent, according to a spokesman for Selfridges department store.
The increase could be attribute to superhot celebrities like Katy Perry, Rihanna and Lady Gaga “running around in their knickers”, he said.
Feather-fringed corsets, selling for £900 ($1,484), have sold out twice in 24 hours at the department store, despite designer Alex Popa sending more of the Bordelle garment.
Sales of the fashion label’s Angela Cage bandage dress also soared by 90 per cent after Rihanna wore the outfit, which consist of a series of revealing white strips, onstage at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles.
Helen Attwood, Selfridges’ head buyer for lingerie, said: “The trend for underwear worn as outerwear is more popular than ever with customers investing more in fashion that adds a touch of spice to everyday life.”
