Katy Perry Hosts MTV Awards
Get the remote ready fellas – Katy Perry is to host this year’s MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) from the O2 World arena in Berlin, Germany next Thursday (November 5th).
The I Kissed a Girl singer, who wore a variety of wacky and revealing outfits at last year’s bash in Liverpool, England, is the first person ever host the awards two years in a row.
Perry will have some way to go to top last year’s opening when she appeared on stage straddling a giant cherry chapstick.
This year’s show promises to be “bigger and better”, with the sexy singer going head to head with Beyonce, Lady GaGa, Leona Lewis and the sultry Shakira for the coveted Best Video gong.
Perry will be joined on the Berlin stage by a host of star performers and presenters, including Green Day and Tokio Hotel.
Lady GaGa and the King’s of Leon head the list of contenders this year boasting five nominations each.
