Harry Potter Theme Park to be Built in Orlando

A new theme park based on the Harry Potter films is due to open in the US next year.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will open in Orlando, Florida and be based on the films and books originally created by the author JK Rowling.
Fans of the films will be able to take a ride on the Forbidden Journey, which will take visitors through Hogwarts Castle, while those seeking refreshment will be able to visit The Three Broomsticks and Hog’s Head pub.
Other attractions include Dervish and Banges wizard supplies store and the Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry.
Brad Globe, president of Warner Brothers’ consumer products, said: “Harry Potter continues to spark the imaginations of fans of all ages and we really have seen the anticipation continue to build for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.”
He added that the team behind the park is excited about the “truly enchanted world” their work is creating.
The Harry Potter series of books has been translated into 67 languages and sold more than 400 million copies worldwide.
