Women More Fussy Than Men About One-Night Stands

Men are much less choosy than women in their attitudes towards one-night stands, a new study has revealed.
The research, undertaken by the department of psychology at Brunel University in the UK and published in the Human Nature journal, showed that men need to be exceptionally attractive in order to lure a woman into bed for casual sex.
Men are more likely to express a desire for no-strings sex and to tell others when it happens to them than their female counterparts, the survey showed.
Dr Achim Schutzwohl’s research questioned male and female students from the US, Germany and Italy.
Participants were asked to imagine being propositioned by a member of the opposite sex described as either slightly unattractive, moderately attractive or exceptionally attractive – then imagine how they might respond.
Dr Schutzwohl said: “While men are not entirely insensitive to their requestor’s attractiveness, women have higher standards.”
Females are more likely to engage in casual sex with an exceptionally attractive man than a less attractive man, he explained.
The research showed that most men would sleep with a woman judged to be either moderately or exceptionally attractive.
