Shopping Online ‘is Guilt-Free’

Shopping over the internet is preferred by consumers as it is guilt-free, a celebrity lifestyle publication has claimed.
According to Heat magazine, online shopping is much easier than going to a physical store.
Bronagh Meere, style writer for Heat magazine, said that many people do not like going shopping because of the queues and the stress that comes with “trawling the high street”.
Some people shop online because they want to stave off boredom and need an activity to pass the time, she explained.
Ms Meere added that the best bit about using the internet to buy goods is that it does not feel real, as no physical money is exchanging hands.
In this sense shopping online is guilt-free, the journalist concluded.
Statistics published by online retailer Asos showed a 93 per cent rise in its annual profits with the number of active customers up by 68 per cent to 1.2 million year-on-year at the end of May.
International sales for the firm were up by 303 per cent to £32.2 million, which it said were in line with how online retail is currently outperforming the overall retail sector.
