More men are gaining an interest in having a Russian girlfriend following reports that Mel Gibson is expecting a baby with Oksana Grigorieva, it has been claimed.
Elena Petrova, owner of online dating site Elena's Models, says she has seen an increase in popularity of her Russian and Ukrainian clients recently.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of Ms Petrova's work in finding partners for Russian women, having entered the business in 1999.
But she still has many thousands of profiles on her site from women who are looking for a western partner - and are willing to travel in order to find love.
Ms Petrova points out that the popularity of Russian partners has even led to them being used as a cover story by scammers.
This leads to some men being targeted by apparent love interests who then ask for money to buy travel tickets, she says.
In order to prevent this from happening, all profiles on Elena's Models are checked before being posted online.
Meanwhile, Gibson's relationship continues to make headlines with the news that Grigorieva is suing her former manager Samuel Oriti.
The lawsuit claims that Mr Oriti has sold photographs of Grigorieva in lingerie which were originally taken to promote her work as a model but were never supposed to be made public.
