While the colour is stereotypically associated with women, In Utah This Week’s Fashion File identifies pink as one of the must-have colours in any male wardrobe.
According to the publication, “real men” wear pink, demonstrating self-assurance and sensitivity.
“Pink oozes confidence … women love guys in pink,” the website states.
Among the other benefits of wearing pink is the fact that pink is an easy colour to match with others. For example, it is said to look good with grey, black, navy blue and tan.
Men interested in integrating pink into their clothes collection may wish to start with a dress shirt, which can accompany a whole host of outfits. Dress shirts are versatile, meaning they look good with suits for a more formal look, under sweaters for a subtle hint of pink, or worn casually with jeans.
However, some men may want to try out the colour with a smaller item, such as a tie first.
Shoulder bags for men are also described by the website as being fashionable and convenient.
Australian newspaper The Age thinks that men should not stop there and should join celebrity names like Daniel Craig and Tom Cruise in opting to wear ‘man heels’.
