Hollywood actor Ray Liotta has told of his admiration for some of reality television show American Idol’s contestants in an interview with television news show Extra.
The World Entertainment News Network reports that he claims to find some of the performances given by the Kelly Clarkson wannabes to be “really inspirational”.
He explains that the sentiment comes from witnessing people given the chance of achieving their dreams on live television.
But Liotta adds that, despite feeling inspired by the performances, he is not about to run out and put his own singing skills to the test.
He also notes the exact point that provides him with his inspiration, with the pinnacle arriving as the contestant is “coming up to their moment”.
Meanwhile, Extra broadcaster Warner Bros notes that Liotta has some advice for the contestants on American Idol.
He tells them to take care in their choices when it comes to deciding which tunes to perform live on the show.
Liotta notes that each song selection can be life-changing as it could hold the key to the competitor’s future career.
And Warner Bros adds that, with such advice, the former Goodfellas star could be giving Simon Cowell a run for his money.
